PUBLIC NOTICE

Pursuant to the Franklin County Code the Franklin County Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors hereby gives notice of a public hearing to be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 6:00pm  and Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 6:00pm, respectively, in the Franklin County Board of Supervisors Meeting Room located in the Franklin County Government Center, 1255 Franklin Street, Rocky Mount, VA  24151 to which all interested parties are invited in reference to the following request:

  1. APPLICATION for SPECIAL USE PERMIT – Application of Sufyan Sean Khawaja, Applicant, and Khawaja Corporation, Owner, requesting a Special Use Permit with possible conditions, to allow for the sale of automobiles, trucks, and rental of moving equipment, located on an approximate 1.677 acre property. The property, currently zoned B-1, Limited Business District, is located at 445 Doe Run Road in the Snow Creek District of Franklin County and is further identified by Franklin County Real Estate Records as Tax Map/Parcel # 0720034301. In accordance with Section 25-318 of the Franklin County Code, the sale of automobiles is a permitted use by issuance of a Special Use Permit in B-1, Limited Business zoning districts. The property has a future land use designation of Low Density Residential.
