How do I get involved in how taxes are set by the County?
Taxes are set annually by the Franklin County Board of Supervisors, usually by May 1st of each year. Taxes are based on an adopted budget of expenditures and revenues and are set after a series of worksessions and a public hearing by both the Board of Supervisors each year. The calendar for these hearings and worksessions is found on the County's website under both budget headings and the county calendar.
