Rotating Work Schedule
Currently accepting applications for a part time Shelter Security Crisis Worker position in the Family Resource Center. The part time position will be on a rotating work schedule that will cover evenings, night and weekends and average less than 20 hours a week. The part time position is not eligible for benefits and is dependent on Grant Funding. Game Officials Coordinator

Franklin County’s Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting resumes for a Games Officials Coordinator Contract Position. This Year Round Contract Position is paid monthly through Accounts Payable. This position is expected to perform responsible work in a public setting involving scheduling, rescheduling, evaluating, training and supervising game official and creating a safe and fun environment for the activity to take place for players, spectators, parents, and game officials. The successful Contractor will have basic knowledge of the rules/by laws of the Recreation Department for all sports offered as well as the ability to work confidently in a public setting and handle various situations. The Contractor must review facts to make objective decisions and have solid communication skills. Work is performed under the close supervision of the Recreation Programs Manager or the Youth Program Coordinator.
Current monthly Contract Rate is $704 and is dependent upon successful completion position expectations.
Typical Tasks include:
- Coordinate, train, supervise and schedule officials/workers for the following youth/adult sports: Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Lacrosse and any sport that Franklin County Parks and Recreation may add to its programming.
- Create and maintain an effective mechanism for evaluating game officials.
- Communicate with game officials concerning their shortcomings or providing helpful tips in handling the public.
- Assist in misconduct situations.
- Provide accurate written documentation of misconduct and assist game officials in their documentation of event related concerns.
- Provide documentation to the Recreation Programs Manager or Youth Program Coordinator concerning evaluations, misconduct, player or spectator ejections, accident reports, or any other written reports that need to be documented.
- Schedule appropriate clinics and trainings for all game officials.
- Schedule correct amount of game officials for each sporting event.
- Coordinate cancellations of game officials and reschedules them accordingly.
- Schedules officials/scorers/timers in a timely manner, with appropriate notice to workers.
Any combination education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and considerable experience in communicating and working within a public environment. Prior administration decision making experience is preferred.
