Board of Zoning Appeals Public Hearing Schedule
Pursuant to the Franklin County Zoning Ordinance the Franklin County Board of Zoning Appeals hereby gives notice of a public hearing to be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 6:00 p.m., in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room of The Government Center, Rocky Mount, Virginia
- PETITION of Stephen C. Kirk and Rebecca A. Kirk, Owners, to apply for Variances to Section 25-272(b), side setback, for a proposed doublewide home. The minimum setback distance from the nearest point of the house or principal structure (including porches, stoops or any accessory buildings) to the side property line is ten percent of the road frontage distance with a minimum of ten feet (10’) and a maximum of twelve feet (12’). The proposed dwelling will be five feet (5’) from the side property line on the northeastern back corner of the home, a variance request of five feet (5’), with the variance request decreasing as you move southeast to the front corner of the home where the dwelling will be nine feet (9’) from the side property line, a variance request of one foot (1’). The property is currently zoned RC1 (Residential Combined Subdivision District), and is located on Lakewood Forest Circle, in the Gills Creek Magisterial District. The property is identified on Franklin County Real Estate Tax Records as Tax Map # 31.1, Parcel # 86. (VAR-1-10-6229)

All public hearings in front of the Board of Zoning Appeals, unless otherwise advertised, are held in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, in the Franklin County Government Center, on the first (1st) Tuesday of each month beginning at 6:00 PM unless otherwise noted.
APPLICANTS OR THEIR REPRESENTATIVE ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND MEETING
