- Blue Ridge Dinner Theatre
The Blue Ridge Dinner Theatre is an outgrowth of the Dramatic and Theatre Arts department at Ferrum College and the Jack Tale Players. Our patrons, area businesses, civic organizations, and Ferrum College provide the many kinds of support necessary to make the BRDT a viable enterprise. Founded in 1978, the BRDT has produced four to five major plays per season as well as a number of other productions. Every year the BRDT also premieres, at least, one original drama. For more information, please visit our website: http://www.blueridgedinnertheatre.com or contact Dr. Jody D. Brown, Executive Director at 540-365-4354.
- Blue Ridge Institute and Farm
Visitors to the Blue Ridge Institute and Farm at Ferrum College are transported into the past, as costumed interpreters prepare meals, bake bread, and perform farm chores in the same manner as the German-American farmers of the 1800s. On the fourth Saturday of each October, the entire campus at Ferrum College is transformed into a celebration of regional traditions. 'The Folklife Festival', as the event is known, features gospel, ballad, and blues music performed on three stages, a horse pull and coon dog competition, and a showcase for old-time customs and crafts. Animal handlers have a chance to demonstrate their skill at the annual Blue Ridge Draft Horse and Mule Show, hosted by the college on the fourth Saturday of each July. Traditional mountain music, as authenticated by collectors and folklorists, is preserved at the Blue Ridge Institute's recording studio.

- Boones Mill Apple Festival
Since 1978, the main street in the tiny town of Boones Mill has closed to traffic on the third Saturday in September for the annual 'Boones Mill Apple Festival.' Over sixty churches and civic groups set up concession stands with plenty of food, crafts, and, of course, apple products. Highlights of the day include an art show, pony rides for the children, and live country music. The event is capped off with a parade and the crowning of Miss Apple Festival and Jr. Miss Apple Festival, followed by a concert given by the Franklin County High School Band. Annually, the 268 residents of Boones Mill have an estimated 6,500 guests attend their 'Apple Festival.'

In 2005, Sterling Belcher, Owner/Promoter was given a KEY to the town of Rocky Mount by the Mayor on stage at the 25th Anniversary show.
