Burial
The GR Program is an optional local program designed to provide assistance, either maintenance or emergency, which cannot be provided through other means. The GR Program is financed through state and local funding. The local GR Program is developed by the local department of social services to meet the identified needs of each jurisdiction. Each agency determines the criteria for the use of local-only funds. Franklin County's GR Program provides funds for indigent burial only. Burial arrangements must be made at an agreed upon price with a local funeral home.
