Heating & Cooling Assistance
The Fuel Assistance program is accepting applications October 13, 2009 - November 13, 2009.
Fuel Assistance primarily provides assistance with the purchase of home heating fuel and the payment of primary heat utility bills. Payments are not made to vendors until the end of December 2009.
The Crisis Assistance program begins Monday November 2, 2009 and continues until March 15, 2010.
Crisis Assistance is intended to meet a household's emergency heating need when no other resources are available. Assistance offered includes:
- One-time only primary heat security deposits;
- Portable heaters for temporary use;
- Payment for emergency shelter; and/or
- Heating equipment repair/purchase.
Beginning January 4, 2010, applications are accepted for the purchase of primary home heating fuel and the payment of primary heat utility bills.
Applications are available during business hours in our office, by mail or online.
If you are a renter, and the bill is in another person's name, please include a signed statement from the account holder that you are responsible for paying the bill.
