The Franklin County Department of Social Services is one of 120 local departments in Virginia's public social services system. The Department is an agency of county government which administers federal, state, and local public assistance and social work service programs. 

Our offices are open Monday - Friday 8:30a.m. - 5:00p.m. except when closed in observance of a county holiday.  Please click here for a list of 2012 holidays.

The number to reach us is still 540-483-9247. Please listen to the entire message for all available options. It would be very helpful to get your case worker's extension number and keep it on hand. If you don't know your worker's number you can search by name. If it is an emergency, you can dial 0 at any time and be connected with the operator. Our goal is to efficiently provide quality service. Your communication with our office is very important to us and we encourage you to contact us with any questions, concerns, or comments.
