Chris Esposito - Career Staff
Chris is a Firefighter/Paramedic for Franklin County Public Safety and also serves as a fill-in captain. He has worked for Public Safety since early 2013. Chris grew up in Danville, VA and moved to Franklin County after becoming a full time employee. He started on Med 1-2, moved to Station 15, then to Station 8 when it was still just a daytime truck, He is currently stationed at Med 1-3. Chris says, “I love working for the county and really enjoy the people I work with. I have 2 beautiful kids, 4 year old and 10 month old girls. I am getting married on September 12, 2020 to a beautiful woman who puts up with me and my crazy schedule; I can’t really ask for much more. I have enjoyed watching our system change and grow over the years that I have been with Public Safety. I am excited to see how we continue to grow in the years to come.”
It all started for Chris in 2004 when he joined Danville Life Saving Crew as a junior member. He obtained his EMT and Firefighter certifications in 2006 when he was in High School. He also volunteered with Blairs Fire and Rescue and Mount Hermon Fire and Rescue in Pittsylvania County. Chris’s professional career began at Regional One EMS in Danville, VA, while working there, he attended Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, VA where he obtained his Paramedic in 2011. Chris began working for Franklin County in 2013 and he has been here ever since.
Chris enjoys spending time with his family and also does a lot of four wheeling with an amazing group of friends who are like a second family to him. He also enjoys spending time and relaxing at the lake when not at work.
