StoryWalk-LOGO-FINALLocated at the Summit View Business Park in Rocky Mount, the StoryWalk® is a permanent installation that displays an illustrated children’s story—literally a book taken apart—along a walking trail near the 24-Hour Library.StoryWalks® are made by laminating all the pages from a book and mounting them on signs along a pathway. Visitors can read the entire book, progressing from sign to sign, as they move along the trail. The Summit View StoryWalk® is on a flat, crushed stone trail that is about a quarter mile long. Open 24/7/365, the trail and the 24-Hour Library are on Pleasant Breeze Drive, off Route 220S. The StoryWalk® is free and books change seasonally.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.  Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
